Brow Lamination

Brow lamination is a service that involves straightening and lifting the hairs using a chemical solution, which allows the hairs to have more flexibility to move them into your desired shape, therefore covering any gaps or stray areas.

After your natural brow hairs are straightened, a fixing solution is applied to keep the hairs straight. The result is fuller-looking brows that stay in place when brushed into shape, lasting around six weeks.

Brow Tint

Eyebrow tinting is a process where semi-permanent dye is smoothed over your brows to shape and define your natural arches. Although it's particularly great for intensifying lighter brow hairs on blondes or redheads, anyone who wants fuller, thicker brows can benefit from this treatment, which picks up and defines all those tiny, hard-to-see hairs, too.

During a professional brow tint, the technician will start by custom-mixing the dye to match the undertone of the client's hair and get you the right color (which is typically one or two shades lighter than your hair color). The process takes around 10 to 15 minutes (though the dye might have to sit a little longer if you have coarse hair), and the results are basically instant. As soon as the dye is wiped away, you'll walk away with bolder brows.

Brow Wax

Eyebrow waxing is a method of removing unwanted hair, either as a cold or hot wax. We use hot wax at The Science of Beauty. Hot wax is the most popular method of removing body hair and is also used on facial hair. The hot wax is applied to a small section of the skin with unwanted hair and in the direction of hair growth. As the wax cools, it melts onto the top layer of the skin and grips at each hair strand. Once the wax is applied, a cloth strip is placed over the wax and pressed down firmly. After two to three seconds, the cloth strip is quickly pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth.

Lash Lift

One way to think of a lash lift is like a perm for your eyelashes. Unlike a lash extension, a lash lift simply alters the shape and color of your natural lashes. The treatment involves boosting and lifting each individual lash which works great with tinting them for thicker, darker, longer looking lashes.

Lift Tint

Think of eyelash tinting like getting your roots touched up. The dye will intensify your natural lashes by darkening them and adding definition to the eye. The dye itself is similar to what you use on your hair, except it’s specifically developed to be safe around the eye area.

Chin Wax, Lip Wax, Nostril Wax

Waxing is a depilatory hair removal method where hair is removed from the follicular roots for longer lasting results. How does it work? The therapist will clean your chin area, after cleansing a pre epilation oil is put on before the wax. Wax is applied, when hardened, it is removed off quickly.
